Bunny's Book Club by Annie Silvestro
My rating: 5 of 5 stars Oh my heart! This book is completely and utterly adorable! Bunny loves listening to the sweet librarian read stories - but winter is soon approaching and he still wants to be able to immerse himself in books. Taking matters into his own hands, Bunny decides to sneak into the library at night and surrounds himself with the magic of books. Soon he shares his hunger with his animal friends and they creep into the library each night to find treasures among the stacks. Heartwarming and uplifting for book fanatics everywhere - a great addition to encourage the love of reading. Tatjana Mai-Wyss's illustrations are perfectly precious in every way. I just wanted to scoop the characters up and snuggle with them as they travel into the hearts of their favorite books. View all my reviews

Wishtree by Katherine Applegate RL - 4.2 Points - 3 Genre - Fantasy Trees don't tell jokes, but they can certainly tell stories... Red is an oak tree who is many rings old. Red is the neighborhood "wishtree" - people write their wishes on pieces of cloth and tie them to Red's branches. Along with a crow named Bongo and other animals who seek refuge in Red's hollows, this wishtree watches over the neighborhood. You might say Red has seen it all. Until a new family moves in. Not everyone is welcoming, and Red's experience as a wishtree is more important than ever.
